KHAKI

Most of us are not aware of history of military uniform colour KHAKI.

This colour was idea of an Indian soldier of British army.
·       It became the main cause of victory of British army on Indian kings (Rajas).
·       With the time it became a universal colour for army around the world.

Originally the colour of army uniform used to be bright red; in turn the defenders were able to locate them from a long distance and get prepared. Hence the attackers had to face defeat.

One Indian soldier of British army noticed this and pointed out to officers. He suggested, for camouflage the colour of uniform should be of dust.

The name of colour is named KHAKI as dust is called Khak in Urdu.
